Audio/Speech I/O modules and XLR panels

With its high speed I/O modules and high performance real-time target machines Speedgoat servers a broad range of customers in the area of audio and speech (e.g. hearing aids).

Audio applications oftentimes require very complex signal processing algorithms requiring highest CPU performance to achieve fast model execution.

Speedgoat therefore recommends the Performance real-time target machine inclduing the Performance-CPU3330 option for such applications.

To connect two target machines e.g. to simulate the behaviour of two hearing aids Speedgoat recommends the very fast shared memory I/O modules.

To access analog input and output channels using the IO108 and IO109 I/O modules Speedgoat developed balanced XLR connectors. They can either be delivered separately or together with a complete Audio real-time target machine consisting of a chassis including a Performance real-time target machine, the I/O subsystem (IO108 and IO109), XLR panels, and shared memory connection. Patch panels for the IO107 can be developed on request.

The analog I/O modules typically required for such applications are:

IO107 Fast 16-bit analog module with 16 differential analog output channels
IO108 Fast 16-bit analog module with 8 differential analog output channels
IO109 High-resolution 24-bit sigma-delta analog module with 12 differential analog input channels

The different XLR patch panels are:

IO108-XLR-Panel Interface patch panel to access 8 differential analog output channels via balanced XLR connectors. The integrated LEMO connector allows the synchronization to other XLR panels.
IO109-XLR-Panel Interface patch panel to access 12 differential analog input channels via balanced XLR connectors. The integrated LEMO connector allows the synchronization to other XLR panels.

Additional I/O modules can be integrated. Please do not hesitate to contact us for furhter information.
