Synchro/Resolver

Measure and simulate synchro and resolver sensor signals

Synchro
A synchro or "selsyn" is a type of rotary electrical transformer sensor that is used for measuring the angle of a rotating machine such as an antenna platform. In its general physical construction, it is much like an electric motor.

Resolver
A resolver is a type of rotary electrical transformer sensor used for measuring degrees of rotation. It is considered an analog device, and has a digital counterpart, the rotary or pulse encoder.

Measure and simulate sensor output signals
To below I/O module provides functionality to measure and simulate, and the PC104 I/O module to measure Synchro and Resolver sensor signals. The Synchro/Resolver I/O modules can be installed into the Basic (PCI-76CS1) or Classic (73SD3) real-time target machine and are supported by the xPC Target driver library. Additional I/O modules in the half-size PCI form factor for the use with the Performance or Automation real-time target machine can be supported on request.

I/O module Form factor Description
PCI-76CS1 PCI (full sized) Up to 8 synchro/resolver measurement (input, S/D) and up to 6 stimulus (output, D/S) channels for positioning sensors of type Synchro or Resolver
73SD3 PC104 Up to 6 Synchro/Resolver-to-digital channels
