Serial I/O modules
These versatile I/O modules allows the communication between a real-time target machine and devices using the asynchronous serial protocols RS232/422/423/485/530 and the synchronous serial protocols SDLC and HDLC.
The various modules differentiate themselves by the type of supported protocols, number of available ports, and maximum baud rates.
The different modules are:
| I/O module | Supported protocols | No. of ports | Baud rate |
| IO501 | RS232 | 8 | Up to 230kb/s |
| IO502 | RS422/485 | 8 | Up to 920kb/s |
| IO503 | RS232/422/RS485 | 4 |
RS232: up to 920kb/s RS422/485: up to 5.5296Mb/s |
| IO504 | RS232/422/485 | 8 |
RS232: up to 920kb/s RS422/RS485: up to 5.5296Mb/s |
| IO511 |
SDLC/HDLC, RS232/422/423/485/530 |
4 |
Synchronous: up to 10Mb/s Asynchronous: up to 1Mb/s |
If you can't find a serial I/O module with the characteristics you're looking for please contact Speedgoat. We're continuously complementing our portfolio and frequently have alternative solutions available.
