Performance real-time target machine - I/O expansion

Supported I/O modules
All Speedgoat I/O modules come in the PMC form factor and can be used in all Speedgoat real-time target machines (with the exception of the Classic real-time target system) using PMC-to-PCI, PMC-to-PCIe4, or PMC-to-cPCI adapters. Adapters for your selected target machine are included with each delivery. In the case of existing legacy PCI I/O hardware or proprietary designs native PCI I/O cards can be installed into the Performance real-time target machine as well.
For a complete overview to all available Speedgoat I/O modules for the Performance real-time target machine visit our I/O modules product section.

PCIe Expansion for the CPU3.16 and CPU3.33 options
In its standard version the Performance real-time machine has free PCI slots for up to 5 I/O modules. If you need highest CPU performance requiring the Performance-CPU3160 or Performance-CPU3330 options the standard amount of available PCI I/O slots is reduced from five to three. To nevertheless use up to five I/O modules Speedgoat offers the Performance-CPU3160/CPU330-4Slot & Performance-CPU3160/CPU3330-5Slot allowing you install Speedgoat I/O modules into the PCIe slots using PMC-to-PCIe4 (4 lane) adapters.
For applications requiring more than five I/O modules as well as highest CPU performance Speedgoat offers the following option:

Performance-IOExpansion
Expands the Performance real-time target machine with an additional chassis including support for six additional PCI I/O slots. The I/O modules in the Performance-IOExpansion unit are detected and usable as having been plugged into the Performance real-time target machine itself. The bus performance supported is up to 64bit/66MHz.
Wiring between the Performance real-time target machine and the Performance-IOExpansion unit is established via a 1m long flexible small-diameer copper cable supporting a high-bandwith low latency Infiniband® connection. I/O module access latency is therefore increased by only 10% compared to access of I/O modules directly plugged into the Performance real-time target machine itself.
In case you require more than five I/O modules but only have limited space available, or in case you require I/O modules in the cPCI form factor or a more ruggedized target machine for safety critical applications then the Modular real-time target machine might be the right choice for you.
