Interface Designer for xPC Target
The Interface Designer for xPC Target is a stand-alone Windows application for designing, maintaining, and executing graphical user interfaces (GUIs) or human machine interfaces (HMIs) for real-time target applications running on a real-time target machine from Speedgoat or any other target hardware supported by MathWorks' xPC Target.
Interface Designer is installed on the host computer and talks to the target and target application directly via xPC Target's communication API. A running MATLAB session is not required and Interface Designer can therefore replace MATLAB as the platform for host-target communication.
In edit mode Interface Designer allows you drag and drop control elements like sliders, buttons, angular displays, and scopes from a controls toolbox to a panel and to associate these control elements with signals and parameters defined by the target application. In run mode Interface Designer connects the panel with the downloaded target application and lets the user change parameters through the control elements of the panel and let the panel show signal value changes through its control elements.
Interface Designer provides all the features necessary to easily create professionally looking graphical interfaces for xPC Target applications.
A free 30 day trial version is available upon request.
Interface Designer runs under Windows 2000 or XP and together with xPC Target 2.5 or higher. The license scheme is node locked meaning a license is needed for each machine on which you want to operate Interface Designer. After the purchase of a license we will send you an activation key which turns your Interface Designer installation from a trial version to a full version. Each purchased license includes a subscription for 12 months of free software maintenance (new versions) and free technical support. 12-month subscription renewals and restarts are available too. Interface Designer is offered to educational customers at a reduced price.
