MathWorks Automotive Conference, June 3-4 2008, Stuttgart, Germany At this large MathWorks Conference, Speedgoat was present with a booth. One highlight was a live HIL demo which McLaren Electronics presented at our booth. It was about the simulation of a Formula 1 engine using a Modular/2 real-time target machine from Speedgoat and the Engine Control Unit from McLaren Mercedes, which is currently used in every Formula 1 car. The other highlight was a talk from Red Bull Technology about their experiences using Speedgoat and MathWorks products to develop a Formula 1 circuit test drive simulator for their drivers. The title of the presentation was: Real-Time Control and Integration of a High-Fidelity Driver-in-the-Loop Motion Platform.
